Hallgrim Hansegård (b. 1980) is a trailblazing Norwegian choreographer renowned for revitalizing folk dancing. Seamlessly blending tradition with contemporary innovation, Hansegård's choreography explores ancient trance-inspired dance traditions, spanning 7,000 years of Norwegian history.

His dynamic productions, infused with rhythm, animism, and Norse essence, have mesmerized audiences across 35 countries, showcased in live performances, TV, and popular computer games. A versatile artist, Hansegård has earned international acclaim with awards for choreography and films, standing as the most decorated figure in Norwegian folk dance, particularly the captivating "halling" style.

Established in 2006, Hansegård's dance company FRIKAR brings together diverse genres in contemporary works. In 2012, he founded the Fjelldansen choreographic center, a key player among 12 state-supported Norwegian dance hubs, complemented by a dance house in Valdres. In 2017, Hansegård pioneered FRIKAR X, marking Talent Norge's inaugural venture into independent dance arts.

Beyond his artistic pursuits, Hansegård fervently champions humanitarian causes, addressing immigration and racism through impactful art projects and thought-provoking national newspaper articles.
